FCCV 50th Anniversary Oro Month, 2007
   
The clubs
50th Anniversary was celebrated with a series of events during 'Oro
Month' (Gold Month) in September/October 2007. First there was the
clubs actual birthday which was celebrated at a special
general meeting at the Veneto Club, where all present were all
transported back exactly 50 years with an almost word for word
account and faithful re-enactment of the inaugural meeting of the
club. The night also involved a fashion parade in 50’s style and a
trivia and ‘guess who?’ quiz.
Next there
was a run to Phillip Island were all the FIAT's were able to
do a lap of glory around the grand prix track. A couple of weekends
later was the motorkhana held at 'Yarra Track' winery in the Yarra
Valley. The celebrations all culminated in the Gala Dinner held on
the 6th of October. It was a fabulous month of fun and frivolities
and it is hoped the next 50 years will be as fantastic as the first
50!

Concourse Events
Autobella is
FCCV's annual Concourse. For the last couple of years the concourse
has been held at Como Park in South Yarra. It is always a great day
for members to bring their pride and joy along, meet fellow club
members, eat some great food, and of course, peruse the 120 odd
Fiats and countless other examples of fine Italian machines from
Lancia, Alfa, Maserati,Ferrari, Abarth, Lamborghini, Ducati, Moto
Guzzi,Vespa et al. that invariably turn up to add to the colour on
the day

Race Events
Fiat Al Monte
is held at Bathursts Mt Panorama each January. The
event attracts FIAT enthusiasts from all over Australia and it
is a fantastic 3 days of FIAT fun and frivolities. There is a
hill climb, a motorkhana, a show and shine and also numerous social
events.
